Introduction. The correct way of eating during pregnancy is important both for the health of the mother and child. The elimination of irregularities in this period can be preventive measures for future generations concerning, among others prevention of obesity and metabolic diseases. These diseases are becoming more common in Polish society. They are also often encountered the problem not only in adults but also among children and adolescents. Aim. The aim of the study was the verification of the application of pregnant women with other diseases of pregnancy the recommendations. Evaluation of the frequency of consumption of certain foods and dietary preference analysis. Material and methods. The study was conducted within the obstetric and Gynecology‑Obstetric Clinical Hospital of the Poznan University of Medical Sciences, 246 pregnant women took part in it. Questionnaires were carried out in the period from January to March 2015. Results. Test group (n = 246) is divided into 4 subgroups: healthy women (n = 165), women with gestational diabetes (n = 47), women with hypertension (n = 18) and women with anemia affecting the conduct of pregnancy (n = 16). Irregularities and nutrition errors observed in the study were primarily rarely undertaken physical activity, frequent snacking between meals and high consumption of sweets. Among all the subsets examined intake of cereals and its products was too low (respectively 56%, 49%, 50%, 50%) as compared to dietary guidelines. Most consumed while the meat is a poultry (44%), fish meal eaten less (usually 1 time per week). Conclusions. 1. In the diet of women surveyed are single nutritional deficiencies and errors. 2. It is recommended to further promote rational nutrition. 3. Health promotion and education in physical activity is necessary.
