Fraza do cytowania: Damme‑Ostapowicz K.V., Krajewska‑Kułak E. The nurse’s role in collecting biological material for tests. Polski Przegląd Nauk o Zdrowiu. 2015;4(45):275–277.

The results of laboratory tests performed for the objective assessment of a patient’s health condition largely depend on the knowledge and experience of the personnel who collect material for tests. Therefore, the collection of material for tests should be based on clearly and precisely defined procedures. The availability of mucosal secretion, along with non‑invasive and simple collection methods, make the procedure a low‑cost one.

Key words: biological material for collection, a nurse, health condition assessment.
