The article is aimed at assessing the completion and implementation of a ”oncology package” in Swietokrzyskie Voivodeship in comparison with other provinces and Poland general. The period of analysis covers the first six months functioning of the oncology package in Poland (January–June 2015). The analysis is based on the number and status of issued card of oncological diagnosis and treatment, entitling the patient to the benefits provided under the terms of the Act on healthcare services financed from public funds. In addition, there was carried out an analysis of the types of healthcare entities issuing cards of oncological diagnosis and treatment, as well as the scope and manner of conducting the cancer diagnosis, according to principles resulting from the regulations in this range.
