The burnout is a dynamic, multi-step set of symptoms occurring in three areas: psychological emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduced sense of personal achievement. It is a consequence of load professional duties, irrational beliefs and expectations of the work, the specific characteristics of personality, etc. The phenomenon of burnout affects workers of various professions, including athletes and their coaches. Burnout in sport is a consequence of the relationship between cognitive, situational, physiological and behavioral aspects of stress. The authors present the concept of burnout in sport and suggests a number of reasons for the phenomenon.
