Fetal death, is a cardiac arrest after 22 weeks of gestation. The incidence of pregnancy of dead in Poland is 0.5% of all diagnosed pregnancies. In 90% of labor occurs spontaneously. In emergencies the mother's life to be solved become pregnant decreased cesarean section. With a twin pregnancy complicated by death of one of the fetuses should be implemented enhanced antenatal care. It assessed the mobility of the fetus. In the case of threat to life of the fetus should decide on immediate delivery, if the maturity of the lungs and gestational age permits. It is very important for parents to explain the causes of fetal death. Suffering not only affects women, but the whole family. Man should be made aware that he has the right to feel grief, sadness. The midwife should encourage parents to physical contact with the dead child. It allows touching, holding him in her arms. Maternal no need to talk about the history of childbirth, you should listen to her. Among parents of twins, the emotions associated with the death of a child overshadow the joy of birth. Mother sometimes blamed for the death of a living infant second. It should allow family contact with a psychologist or a priest. A couple may find a support group. Medical personnel should be supported also complete the formalities related to the death of the fetus. The midwife should discuss with the patient the future of family planning. A woman should plan for becoming the next pregnancy, when the process of mourning after the death of a child is properly completed. Medical staff plays an important role in the psychological support of women and their families after the death of the child. Kindness, listening skills and a good word, are essential substrates for normal progression of the grieving process.
