Every year, in Poland and all over the world, the number of disabled pregnant patients is increasing, and thus the demand for education in this field is enormous. When planning care of a disabled patient, all the factors must be taken into account so as to provide the patient with wholistic care. The role of a midwife during a natural childbirth by a disabled patient is critical. Communicating with such a patient requires empathy and great social skills.
