Profession of a midwife is one of the oldest occupations in the world. Initially, this profession was learned in practice by working with more experienced women, who helped in childbirth. Nowadays, graduation from a medical university is necessary to practice midwifery. Moreover, to become a community midwife, one has to attend extracurricular courses to be ready for this career.
