Introduction. Cross-spine pain is a common health problem resulting from the natural processes of aging. Spine complaints are associated with overdosage of the spinal muscles and degenerative changes. At advanced stages of change, disc herniation and discopathy develop. Lack of physical activity, improper body posture, inadequate weight lifting, leads to excessive back pressure. Kinesitherapy in water is a safe and effective form of therapy that reduces the sensation of body weight, increases the ability to exercise movements that are obstructed under normal conditions, eliminates the risk of falls and introduces relaxation and relaxation of the muscular system. Aim. The aim of the study was a preliminary subjective assessment of the influence of kinesitherapy in water on the level of pain experienced in patients with spinal – lumbar spine pain. Material and methods. The research was conducted at Aqua Fintess School in Kozienice and in Radom. The study group consisted of 98 patients aged 20 to 90 years. The research tool was a questionnaire survey of own design investigating the subjective influence of kinesitherapy in water on intensity of lumbosacral spinal pain. The VAS analog scale was used to assess the severity of pain, using a two-way subjective measurement of the level of pain experienced. Results. Statistical analysis showed a significant improvement in functional status and a decrease in pain in the lumbosacral spine (p < 0.05). The mean severity of pain in the study group before starting kinesitherapy in water was x = 6.27. At the end of therapy decreased (x = 3.04). Conclusions. Kinesitherapy in water significantly reduces lumbar-sacral pain in patients.
