In recent years, many studies have been conducted in order to understand the mechanisms and reasons leading to the occurrence of these dysfunctions and to find ways of treatment.
Sexual dysfunctions are associated with overweight, obesity and the diseases which are often a consequence of obesity, ie. type 2 diabetes mellitus, metabolic syndrome and polycystic ovarian syndrome.
Proper diet and physical activity should be introduce in order to prevent and to treat these disorders, because healthy lifestyle is a factor that may limit the prevalence of sexual dysfunction.
