One of the most common disease in the group of people after 65 year old is osteoarthritis. Patients diagnosed with this disease suffer from pain which influence of their physical activity, self-reliance and mental health. According to demographic data, increased number of elderly is related with higher number of patients with osteoarthritis. Considering often work inability and need of the patient care from relatives it is reason to consider it as an economic problem. Collagen is the compound with beneficial effect of joints. This protein is pervasive in the human body and because of its various properties is used in preventive supplementation for joints health. Numerous investigations prove that using this kind of supplementation is profitable on physical condition and mobility of patients with osteoarthritis. In the view of fact that some of patients are disable to work it seems to be considerable to develop reasonable preventive procedures for decrease number of patient and costs of treatments.
