Introduction. Asthma is a disease that is often inadequately controlled. This kind of situation leads to asthma exacerbations, which generate additional economic and social burden. Aim. Aim of this paper was to determine the correlation between the hind properly selected treatment, and the costs of the socio-economic borne by the state. Conclusions. Accordingly expended funds should be an indicator for improving disease control which is closely related to cost reduction.
