The article shows the changes in interpersonal communication between doctor and patient. Expectations of patients to doctors who treated them have evolved over the centuries. It happened as a result of the evolution of societies that are the result of their mentality, culture, consciousness, and also current health problems. Undoubtedly, the emergence of the modern ways of communicating affect the therapeutic relationship doctor – patient. Telemedicine brings with it great opportunities when it comes to communicating patient-doctor at any time and almost anywhere. However, despite the many advantages of such contact, it has also many weaknesses.
