Introduction. The concept of the quality of life was introduced to the medical sciences in the 70’s and from that time it got its significance. At the beginning the surveys concentrated mainly on the patients’ living situation assessment, but today because of its multi‑aspect character pays more attention on the patients’ emotional experiences, their feel‑good and the social activity possibilities. The scope of diseases among which the surveys are being conducted is widening. There is parallel a strong need for the research tools. The most practical and trustworthy method of data gathering are standardized questionnaires. Nowadays there is a very diverse base of measuring scales, that characterize very high trustworthy and appropriate psychometric character even when used many times within one survey. Aim. The main aim of this work was to display a systematic review of the quality of live surveys conducted in Poland that used the generic questionnaires. Material and methods. The obligatory requirements concerning the conduct of any systematic review were applied accordingly [1]. Results. The number of 344 quality of live surveys with the use of generic tools were executed in Poland so far. The most frequently used questionnaire was SF-36 (182 surveys, 53% of total number), then the WHOQOL‑BREF questionnaire (33%) – that was the first one used in 1984–1995. Polish surveys mostly conduct the quality of life analysis of te patients suffering from heart disease and cardiovascular system (23%) as well as musculoskeletal system (18%). Conclusions. The quality of life surveys are more and more interesting for the polish surveyors, who use more often the standardized questionnaires that are already well acknowledged internationally.
