Introduction. Female-type lipodystrophy, commonly referred to as cellulite, is a swelling-fibrillar-sclerosis lesion of the subcutaneous fatty tissue. It affects about 98% of the female population, which makes it the most common defect in the skin of the body. The most common location of cellulite are thigs and buttocks. Reduced skin firmness and surface irregularities and swellings are considered unsightly and difficult to accept by many women. Neglected cellulite can lead to an advanced stage of lipodystrophy, which manifests itself, among others, with disorders of the circulatory system. Innovative ways to reduce the “orange peel” are constantly emerging. The most effective are modern treatments used in beauty salons and aesthetic medicine, differing in the techniques used and the cost of treatment. Aim. The aim of the work was to evaluate the effectiveness and costs of anti-cellulite therapy carried out using two of the many devices available on the market: Anti-Cellulite Iron ABACOSUN and IPULSE 5.1. of the THALGO company. Material and methods. Treatments were conducted on a group of 15 women with symptoms of lipodystrophy of the female type. A series of 10 anti-cellulite treatments was performed in 10 women using the Anti-Cellulite Iron ABACOSUN, while next 5 women underwent a series of 12 treatments with the IPULSE 5.1 device of the THALGO company. Treatments were performed at a frequency of 2-3 times a week with a minimum of 1 day interval between them. The costs of the entire treatment were also estimated. Results. The results obtained confirmed the effectiveness of anti-cellulite treatments. After a series of treatments performed both with the Anti-Cellulite Iron ABACOSUN and IPULSE 5.1. THALGO, satisfactory results were achieved: reduction of cellulite changes, improvement of skin firmness, body shaping and slimming. Conclusions.
